Francine came to us 13 months ago and is now a cherished member of our family. She was 2 when we found her at the Vernon, BC SPCA, thanks to our friend Denise who takes photos of the animals for their website and knew we were looking. We were having coffee one morning and going through her recent photos of the dogs and cats available at he SPCA, all there because life flipped on them and they needed a home....and there she was!

We went to visit her, completed the thorough screening and later in the week Francine walked in our door and into our hearts. She's a lovely little cat with perfect manners and disposition and operates on "happy" all the time even though you can't hear her purr. She does purr, but it's so consistent and so low it's like a vibrantly body hum you can feel more than hear.

We've always had family pets, some dogs, more cats who have been with us for decades so we know the feline persuasion and Francine is different in many ways and totally blows the doors off the theory that cats are aloof and can't match a dog as a companion for the love and affection they give you. She too comes to a whistle, loves to be with us and wants to have her belly rubbed, will play with anything that looks interesting and appreciates every single moment she's with you and we -- as her faithful staff -- can't imagine her anywhere else.
