We are no longer wintering South. So we set off on another mission, to the nearest SPCA to adopt a new family member to keep us company on the long winter nights. We walked into the room and saw a cute little Calico kitten, cowering in a corner and looking so scared. We approached her and she soon responded to our attention with a comforting purr. We knew at that moment that she was the one for us. Because of her eyes we named her Amber. She is affectionate, playful and has become quite the social butterfly with guests. She has many toys, however, her favorites are a paper grocery bag and a few Christmas decorations. We'll never know what her life was before, but we three have won the Lottery! Thank you, Amber, for all the joy you bring us.
