Animal Bio
Rescued Tomas from SPCA Vancouver branch 21yrs ago, while I was volunteering there, and Tomas was 4months old. He peacefully left to Rainbow Bridge in my arm on Aug 1st, 2022. All he wanted was just cuddling , listening to us and make our feel better unconditionally. Though when he was younger and able to jump high, he also enjoyed knocking wine glasses from the counter as he stared us 😅😆 He Never met other cats since he was indoor cat in apartment whole his life, but met many dogs of our friends when they visited and he loved each of them., shared his cat food with them😊 Met many many people in his life, always welcomed absolutely everyone. When my son Kai was born, when we brought Kai home from Hospital in his car seat, first things Tomas did was sniffing Kai and gave him kiss. Since that day, Tomas slept and hang out with Kai every day in same position as Kai. As Kai grew, Tomas continue to be Kai’s brother, played with him, slept with him everyday till his last moment. Kai is almost 13now, as Kai got bigger and Kai became big but small bro to Tomas, still their relationship never stopped to grow.
Tomas absolutely knew everything about us.
He truly cared and loved everyone unconditionally who encountered his life. We learnt so much things about life from him and still learning a lot after his departure to the rainbow ridge.
Last 4yrs were challenging time for all of us as he developed many health conditions that he needed extra special care, however, with amazing care and support for Tomas and us, from Yaletown Pet Hospital team( Tomas’s home Dr since 13yrs ago), we were able to enjoy our lives together until his last breath.
We miss Tomas very much and this is most difficult and challenging things we are facing after his departure. Every thing we did to take care of Tomas( even scooping poops from litter) gave us so much joy 😌
Our furry friends don’t Speak same language as us humans, but they all understand what we are saying, and communicate with us in their own way. Some humans say, they are just cat/dog/rabbits etc so they don’t know what we are saying and don’t understand… well those humans are wrong. For example Tomas knew every words we said, we asked him to take care of Kai, he is your little brother. Well, Tomas did exactly of that.

Thank you SPCA for gave us a chance to welcome Tomas to our family, who taught us about meaning of life, how to be better person and enjoy life.
