Griffin the Cat: Part Maine Coon - all love! Griffin was found as a stray in Prince George, BC. We adopted him from the Vancouver SPCA when he was around 2 years old. He is a very special boy with two different coloured eyes, very soft fur, and no tail. We call his short stub his “bunny flap”. The vet says he was born that way! We adopted him in December 2012 and he was a part of our home right away, enjoying cuddles and playing with his toys.
Besides being big, handsome, and loving, Griffin has a sense of humour. He likes to play little practical jokes on people and his favourite one is to run up to a person or another animal and stop only centimetres from them. He is quite a big boy and when he runs up to someone quickly and has no tail sometimes they don’t know he’s a cat. There’s a reason we named him after a mythical beast!
Griffin has his own Instagram account @griffin_of_van as he doesn’t mind sharing his life with others. He used to rid the neighbourhood of mice and the odd rat and now that he has entered his more distinguished years is more into connecting with visitors and posing on lounge chairs.
