Animal Bio
Ruth came into our lives as a sweet puppy about two and a half years ago, and has made every single day more joyful. She is a half-Bernese Mountain Dog, quarter-Rottweiler, quarter Mastiff mix, and a full lap-dog - at over 100 lbs, that's a pretty hefty cuddle-buddy! Ruth loves swimming, and in the spring and summer months you can catch her chasing sticks and rocks, swimming in circles, refusing to come to shore at our local Brookswood Pond in Langley, or using the river's current as her own personal treadmill when we venture off camping in Hedley, BC.
She can - and will - annihilate a good stick, and remove every squeaker from her toys in record time. Fluff strewn across our home is a sign of a job well-done, in her eyes at least.
While she still has big puppy energy, and a boisterous spirit, she is a gentle soul who loves to cuddle after a long day of being a Destroyer.
It's a ruff job, but someone's gotta do it.
