Bowser is a sweet, strong 9 year old mixed breed rescue that came to us when he was just over a year old. Bowser is very attached to those he loves, and never wants to miss out on quality time with them (he even started climbing onto a chair and sitting at the dinner table with us). Bowser unexpectedly lost mobility in his hind legs this past year though, limiting him from being able to climb, jump or walk. Initially thought to be an injury, Bowser spent 6 weeks on bed rest. This was incredibly difficult for an energetic dog like him. His condition did not improve and it has since been determined that he is paralyzed. Bowser has completely embraced his diverse ability. He has adapted to his wheelchair, but has also found ways to keep mobile without it. Bowser’s life has been significantly different the past year but he has been so resilient and continues to lead a life filled with happiness. It is almost as if nothing has changed.
