Animal Bio
Toast was one of six pups born to a mother who was rescued from northern Ontario by ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) and named by his incredible foster parents.
He came into my life at 8 weeks of age in 2017 and over the years has grown into a quirky, sentient, super smart boy with a prey drive like a lion in the Sahara one minute and a love bug baby the next. His uncanny ability to continuously keep me on my toes makes walks anything but boring and there’s not a day that goes by where his ego isn’t fed with a passerby or at times a driver by stopping to compliment his good looks. As a result, he laps up human attention from anyone and everyone.
Favorite past times include hiding bones anywhere he can including in my bed, stalking squirrels from a distance with x-ray precision, and chasing anything that flie’s including airplanes though this skill is subdued now that he’s entering his senior years.
Toast is my soul dog, and I am grateful for the joy he’s brought to my life and owe it to him for enabling me to discover and relentlessly pursue my passion of advocating for rescue dogs and volunteering with rescues in any capacity possible.
