Bones may have started life as a skinny stray found on a remote trail, but today he’s living proof of the second chances that organizations like the BC SPCA makes possible.

Now a proud Lab/Great Dane mix with an even bigger personality, Bones spends his days lifting spirits in two very special jobs. As a certified therapy dog at BC Children’s Hospital, Bones comforts children and families during some of the most vulnerable moments in their lives. With his calm presence and gentle soul, he has a gift for bringing joy and connection where it’s needed most.

When he’s not making hospital rounds, Bones clocks in as the part-time “store manager” at Benni & Co., a local pet boutique. There, he greets customers with his signature tail wags and shows off his favorite toys, proving he knows a thing or two about retail therapy, too.

Off duty, Bones is an adventurer at heart. He loves camping, exploring trails, and soaking up the great outdoors with his pawrents. What better way to enjoy a camping trip than with Bones by your side… and a Bones beer from Yellow Dog Brewing in hand?

Bones’ biggest wish is that this fundraiser helps more animals like him, those waiting in shelters for their forever families. His pawrents are longtime Yellow Dog Brewing fans, and Bones hopes his story will inspire others to give back, sip generously, and celebrate the incredible bond between people and their pets.
