We adopted our sweet Beau, a 2-year-old male Great Pyr, through Great Pyrenees Rescue Society in Texas last October. A week later I was diagnosed with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Through this journey Beau has been our calm in the storm, always sensing when we need a cuddle, happy to go for a slow stroll, or to snuggle up beside me on the bed. His eyes are soulful and they speak a thousand words. When he arrived at our home he was a bit mischievious the first few months... sneaking out shirts, socks, picture frames (yes, you read that correctly!) ... pretty much anything and, of course, ALWAYS when we weren't looking LOL ... His favourite food ... candied smoked salmon ... yup! What can I say, Beau has good taste! Life with Beau has been PYRfect. How LUCKY we are!!!
