Animal Bio
My name is Zoe. Some of my good friends call me Z. You can see from the photo how gorgeous I am and, guess what, I have the affectionate, loyal, doting, obedient personality to match. In other words, I am the most perfect creature. Everywhere I go, people admire me. Other dogs, I can see right away, fall in love as soon as they clap eyes on me. My owners are viewed only as sources of info on my ancestry, my breeding, my puppyhood. But wait, I’m starting to sound insufferable so here’s another take. I have a great love for all things in the food department and this includes licking clean every dish as it goes into the dishwasher. Bleh, I know! Another flaw is spreading my lovely tri-coloured hair to every nook and cranny. But how can I help that, I ask you? I keep my owners busy with the vacuum, especially when guests are about to arrive. I greet my human friends at the door, mouth full of dirty, smelly socks wiggling and waggling with abandon. I know visitors love me and they wiggle and waggle in return.

I’m getting older now and have to take meds wrapped in peanut butter for my hip dysplasia and arthritis. You know how it is. Even though I’m slow, I still like to be out there for short walks breathing in all those delicious pee and poo aromas. One of my favourite pastimes now is lying by the pond out back, drinking and communing with my fish friends. Quite meditational really. I recommend it.

(We are sorry to tell you that on August 9, Zoe died. She was no longer able to stand on her own or walk more than a few steps. She had brought much joy to others and this is our tribute to her. Being quite proud of her visage, we know she would have been chuffed to see her likeness on a Yellow Dog beer tin.)
