Winnie is the best little nugget whose Mom rescued her over at Irvine Animal Care Center in California where she was labeled a Third Chance Rescue because she’d been moved several times out of high kill shelters in LA County. Out of the shelter and ready to take on the world, Winnie became a sand loving pup while living in a Residence Hall at a local university where Mom worked. Mom and I then moved across the country to Tennessee to spend some time in the Smokey Mountains and that’s where Mom met Dad who I now spend most of my time cuddling with. We all now live in Durham, NC where I enjoy seeing my dog friends on walks around the neighborhood and discovering new smells at the Duke Gardens. Like most shelter dogs, Winnie is sometimes hesitant when meeting new people (definitely a dog’s dog) but once she warms up to you she’ll become your best friend who will constantly be asking for pets, cuddles, and treats!
