My husband had always been unsure of cats, but we had an agreement that if I ever found a cat and it got along with our dog, then we could adopt it. Enter Sir. In February 2021, Sir showed up in the woods outside our fence. I hurriedly grabbed some treats that I tossed to him, and he came back day after day, letting me get closer every time. Before I knew it, he was jumping the fence to come visit and sleeping on our patio furniture at night. Within a few months, he was officially ours after a vet visit for vaccines and a microchip. Now Sir is living his best life in a house with his two parents and dog sister. He has his own couch to sleep on at night and gets supervised outside time every day. He loves food, playing with kicker toys, and chattering at birds outside the window. He’s been such a surprisingly wonderful addition to our household that we have signed up to foster kittens in the hopes that we can help other families can find their very own Sir.
