Boogie began life as a 3 month old stray with a broken leg. A stranger brought him to a vet who fixed his leg and found him a home with my sister and her husband. Boogie should be “top kitty” because he has a loving personality and is a survivor. Every evening, he stretches out on his belly on his father’s chest to be stroked. He and his dad have a special bond! He is also playful, attacking dad’s slipper, or rolling himself up in the corner of the carpet. He is also patient with kids who love to pet him and carry him around. At night, Boogie is very active and loves to hunt outside. So we were devastated when three years ago he became paralyzed in his hind legs from Tetanus. The vet didn’t know if he’d recover. For three weeks his father laid him on a soft pad, offering him food and water. He carried Boogie into the yard for encouragement and to pee, and held him up to try and exercise his legs. Finally, after three weeks of antibiotics and love, this sweet boy slowly regained use of his legs. He is our miracle kitty!
