Dash is the quintessential rescue dog! I fostered him as a puppy, and promptly foster failed and adopted him. Called “the platonic ideal of a dog” by some, he is a foxhound-bulldog mix with the howl and the heterochromia to prove it! Dash is a sweet but anxious dog: it can be tough for him to make new human and dog friends, but once he trusts you you will be his friend for life. His favorite activities are playing fetch with his tennis ball and chasing birds on the beach. He loves sniffing flowers when we go on walks, and shows his affection by either leaning his full body weight on you or standing on a ledge to give you a hug. Adopting Dash has changed my life for the better in every way, even though he isn’t bombproof and isn’t always the easiest dog to have. Earning his trust, and continuing to deserve it every day, will always be the best thing I’ve ever done.
