Layla is an extra special rescue dog that came to me unexpectedly. I happened to browse the website of my favorite rescue, FOR, in Huntsville, AL. Her whole litter of puppies was abandoned in the woods. They all had parvo, hair loss, and were not expected to survive. The ones who did were not expected to be very big. I visited with Layla and went home to sleep on it. Her foster mum sent me a photo of her looking SO sad, since her sister was adopted but she wasn’t. I called and took her home the very next day. I expected to get a small-ish dog, but within a month, Layla had doubled in size! Today she is 80lbs! She loves vegetables, long car rides, naps with blankies, and sunbathing. She has a big personality and an even bigger heart. She has been with me through 4 different moves and loves everyone she meets.
