Poor Wrecks was abandoned by his family at age 8 after developing Type 1 diabetes. Blind from diabetes-related cataracts, skinny, and sad, I was able to take him in, nurse him to health, and get his "eyes done." He is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd that is the most stately gentleman you'll meet. Truly one of the best dogs I've ever owned - and all he needed was a little TLC. To me, Sir Wrecks embodies all that a rescue can and should be! The perfect dog that just needed the perfect home. I'm so blessed to have him in my life and look forward to each and every day together - one insulin injection and kiss at at time! Don't ever be afraid of a special needs pet - they are simply the best!
