My two favorite things in this world - my dog and the beach. My heart is still broken over the loss of my sweet Newman back in August. He meant the absolute world to me. How lucky I was that he came along as a stray in our neighborhood and decided that I would be the human he'd love for his last seven years. He became my everything - my child, my best friend, my confidant, my rock, my partner in crime, my road trip buddy, my world.

He was there through the good - our first apartment, college graduation, and even the move from Tennessee to California. And through the bad - heartbreak, the loss of my grandmother, and even just the days I couldn't bring myself to get out of bed. His love was unconditional. Sometimes I'm not so sure I would have made it without him. I couldn't have dreamed of a better dog.

Fun facts: Newman picked his own name and was the best cuddler that won over many hearts.
