We adopted Maggie May in December 2016. She is a Belly Rubs alum and is not a "typical" Basset. She goes paddle boarding with mom and likes to float in the lake on this inner tube. For a 7 year old dog, she has so much energy when it comes to taking Big Basset walks. She routinely takes 3-5 mile walks and gets very excited when mom puts on her walking shoes. Of course, after her big walks she's wiped out for the rest of the day. She likes to burrow under the covers at night with mom, especially when it's cold. Mom describes her as a "hot mess" but can't imagine life without our "Magpie."
