Cybèle is our beloved nanny who, until very recently, was our mischievous Cavalier King Charles’ babysitter, as Border Collie are extremely smart, and also protective.
Unfortunately, last week, both her retinas detached and she went 100% legally blind, probably because of inherited genes.
Long story short, after seeing vets and specialists, learning about the prohibitive cost of a surgery, and being heartbroken, we started teaching our little Cavaliers to become her seeing eye/guide dogs and keeping Cybèle out of harm way…
Cybèle now wear protective glasses as she is still learning and bumping into things… but in a week time, she has learned tremendously from the gang, and I can’t thank enough all my little Cavaliers for their constant support as Cybèle is now back being the Cybèle we all adore, and no longer scared or depressed, and demanding non-stop playing and cuddling with all of us.
