JJ spent 8 years outside, being bullied by another dog, until he was dumped at the local pound when his owner passed away. Another rescue pulled the dog he was with, but deemed JJ too old and too sick. You see, JJ lived with ear infections that rendered him deaf, had horrible matts, had thyroid and autoimmune issues, and was destined to be PTS. Never one to cherrypick, BFDR pulled him and put so much love, time, and effort into nursing him back to health. I adopted him after sinus cancer was suspected and it was confirmed a few weeks ago. This boy has been wronged so many times, yet stays loving and happy, and greets each day with enthusiasm. He has taught me about forgiveness, acceptance, and finding the good in each day. For that, I owe him and BFDR so much.
