Pet's Story or Bio
One morning I was bringing my horses in at a farm I boarded them. Running up the lane was a very beautiful, sweet faced but scared and emaciated Pit Bull. She would not let me catch her. I found out that she had been hanging around the area for a few weeks and no one knew where she came from. The farm owner said he was going to call the dog warden. I said “no please don’t do that, I’ll get her”. Eve was hiding among a group of evergreens. With the help of an employee, we slowly approached Eve step by step, giving her time to get used to us and gradually touching her. She cowered and clung in some bramble under the trees, but never growled or offered to bite. Finally we were able to pull her from her hiding spot. I took her home and fell in love with her from the start. Now her personality is unparalleled, with her love of pulling huge branches and making them her toys. Tug of war with these branches or just about anything else is her favorite game. But inside she wants to be an oversized lap dog and is sure to settle in to the most comfortable spots in the room. She enjoys jogging and hiking with myself and my other dogs and had become a treasured member of the family. It would be an honor for Eve to help other dogs in need find forever homes.
