Pet's Story or Bio
Pete didn’t have the best start to life, but he was taken in by a wonderful rescue that provided him with love and nursed his skin conditions back to health. He spent many months in a great foster home, but kept getting looked over to due to his allergies. After losing 3 of our 4 dogs in 2022, we were finally looking to adopt a special dog to fill the void in our hearts and be a companion to our remaining dog, Nutmeg. We stumbled upon Pete’s story and thought he would be a good fit. Pete walked into our lives and acted like he had been there forever. He loves everyone he meets, he’s a protector of his human sister, and cuddle buddy for Nutmeg (even when she wants to be alone). He can’t get close enough and needs to always be touching at least one person. We often joke Pete has one brain cell and it doesn’t always show up. But what he lacks in brains, he makes up for with heart. Pete is a wonderful ambassador for his breed and we are thankful he is ours.
