Pet's Story or Bio
Riley was found by a good Samaritan running in the county with her sister. There are a lot of predators like mountain lions and coyotes so they reached out to me and I was able to get her into rescue immediately but was searching for a foster. She had an injured leg that needed vet attention. The day I picked her up the finder told me she was barking all night and they thought she was going to be killed by whatever it was she was barking at. That was it for me. I took her to the vet and decided to foster her. Unfortunately, her leg could not be fixed due to the injury being so old so we opted to amputate. After going through that with her, it just felt right to keep her in the family. She's adapted well to being a tripawd and a house dog. She hikes, runs, loves to swim, and is just the sweetest girl dog. Her mischievous side is a trip and she hasn't met a friend she hasn't liked. She has become a bestie to my other dogs, Bo and Ben, too. I often say she's the glue my pack needed to hold us all together and it's true. We love you, Riley!
