Pet's Story or Bio
The opportunity to foster-to-adopt Hatch (formerly known as “Bear”) fell into my lap just 4 days after I had to say goodbye to last dog due to cancer. When I heard his human mama had been sick just like my last dog, it felt like the stars were aligning for us. We’d get to help each others hearts heal from our losses.
He’d been in boarding in the shelter for the last year due to his owner being unable to care for him while undergoing treatment in the hospital. Unfortunately she never made it out. :-(. That’s when From Forgotten to Forever Rescue stepped in and got him a Freedom ride to Colorado from New Mexico.
I picked him up off the transport in a Chile’s parking lot (hence his new name)!
Our first few months were a big adjustment together. But this past year Hatch has turned into the most wonderful companion and best friend. We were meant to find each other and I cannot imagine life without him! He has completely wiggled and wagged his way into my heart. I can’t wait for all of our adventures together for his forever! It’s a privilege to be his momma.
