Mugsy was surrendered to a Denver-based rescue organization by a young couple who both worked during the day and were not able to give him the time, attention and training he needed. At that time he was about a year old and had become destructive in the house and was not yet completely housebroken. Mugsy was left with a friend of mine who was a foster parent for this rescue, and an excellent dog trainer. Mugsy stayed there for almost 6 months until a nasty injury to his eye had healed. (He is about half-blind in that eye as a result.) Then I was lucky enough to take this handsome tri-color English Bulldog home. Since I had recently retired I am able to be home and give Mugsy the attention he craves. But he is also a wonderful companion. He loves to be petted and to go for rides in the car. He "rides shotgun" with me on errands all over town. My friend also loves him so we often "share" custody since Mugsy and my friend's dog became best friends. He's got the best of both of our worlds!
