Meryem was living in a landfill in Turkey when a local rescue noticed her injured leg. They reached out for support from US rescue organizations, and MFDM stepped up to bring Meryem to Denver. When we saw her adorable serious face, we could not resist. Despite her rough start in life, she is a very happy girl who loves sitting on any perch and watching out for her family.
