Brooks or as we have all come to know him - "Baby Brooks" came into our family in January 2023 as an MFDM foster dog. This young, scared, BIG dog started working his magic on day ONE!
We tried and hoped for the first few months to get him adopted but nothing stuck. You see, Brooks has playful puppy energy balanced by a yearning for soulful connection but overshadowed by fear and abandonment trauma. He holds his cards really close to his chest. But boy oh boy after he trusts you he has the most incredible love to share with you. He romps around the house with his "emotional support toy" hanging out of his mouth. And then he zooms around the backyard - tongue hanging out - play bow at every turn - smiling like it's the best day ever.
We sent Brooks DNA off to be analyzed and found out he is most prominently Great Dane, Pitbull, and Mastiff
He is officially part of the Damers family and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Isn't it funny how The Fairy Dawg Mother waves her wand and poof dogs are matched with their people?!
