Lucy was the reason I became a BDRA foster. I saw her picture in the shelter and it haunted me. 13 years old, starving and full of cancer and heart worms. I had to bring her home. BDRA agreed to bring her in to rescue and let me be her foster. She only lived 6 months but it was a happy 6 months. I still miss her.
