Your Pet's Story or Bio
Koyukuk, aka Kai, is a very sweet Siberian Husky who found himself in a Dallas shelter after being picked up as a stray. No one showed up to claim him and so things looked pretty bleak until Blind Dog Rescue Alliance stepped up for him. Kai subsequently traveled all the way to Nova Scotia to be fostered but his journey didn't quite end there. He also traveled to New Brunswick to be seen by a veterinary ophthalmologist who diagnosed him as having severe glaucoma in both eyes. Both of his painful blind eyes were then removed and a very happy and playful Siberian Husky emerged! His traveling days are now over: Kai's foster (me) fell in love with him and he is now adopted :)
