Gilbert was one of 5 puppies who were born into rescue. His mom was shot and stabbed. (She survived ) We adopted all puppies except for Gilbert. There was something about Gilbert that we could not bear adopting him out, so we adopted this fuzzy sweet boy. 6 years later Gilbert started having problems walking and was bumping into things, we took him to a specialist who found that Gilbert had a inoperable Brain tumor. Slowly his vision was going. Gilbert did not let his blindness stop him, he still played with his toys ,enjoyed going outside rolling in the grass and coming into laying on his bed. He was such and amazing boy. When Gilbert passed away in his sleep he took a huge piece of my heart with him.
