Bluegrass Pug Rescue 2026 Calendar Contest

This is a fundraiser for Bluegrass Pug Rescue (BPR).

This is a contest for Bluegrass Pug Rescue fosters and graduates. Pugs not fostered or adopted through BPR are not eligible to enter the calendar contest.
Submit CLEAR, HIGH RESOLUTION photos. Remember--winning photos will be enlarged when creating the calendar. If your photo is blurry when it is enlarged, it cannot be used in the calendar.
When submitting photos, please be mindful of items/objects visible in the background of the photo. Do not submit photos with items in the background that need to be cropped out.
Be sure to include a nice bio about the pug you are submitting to help them get votes! We'd love to hear their rescue story, how you fell in love, or something funny about your pug!

Once you enter your put into the contest, share their voting link on social media to help them get votes! Make sure your friends and family know your pug has the opportunity to make BPR history, and it's for a good cause!

When the voting begins, vote for the pug (or pugs) you would like to see featured in the 2026 Bluegrass Pug Rescue Calendar.

All votes are $1, and you can vote as many times as you want, for as many pugs as you would like!

The top 12 pugs will be featured on their own page (one month) in the 2026 calendar. The pug with the most votes will get to choose which month they will be featured.

Voting will be open from July 16 at 12am EST to July 31 at 11:59pm EST.

Every dollar raised through voting will be used to continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and providing medical care for pugs taken in by BPR.

Prizes

1. The 12 pugs who receive the most votes will be featured in the Bluegrass Pug Rescue 2026 Calendar. The pug with the most votes will get to choose the month they appear in the calendar.

2. The satisfaction of knowing that money raised through this fundraiser will go towards helping BPR continue to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide medical care and support for pugs we take in, and you helped!

3. Friendly competition with your pug community.

4. Bragging rights, the possibility of your pug becoming BPR royalty, the chance at adding “Calendar Pug” to your pug’s resume.

5. 12 full months of seeing a smiling BPR pug face on your calendar each day.

About Us

Bluegrass Pug Rescue, Inc., (BPR) is a community-based, statewide nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission of rescuing pugs. We are totally supported by donations, proceeds from events, and through the work of our volunteers.

BPR receives pugs needing homes from various situations. BPR takes in pugs found as strays, dropped off at shelters, left at groomers or vets, or where a change in family situations has caused the family to no longer be able to provide a home for their pug. Once in rescue, the pug is placed with a foster home and taken to the vet for vaccinations, a heart worm test, spay or neuter, and any needed medical treatment. All known medical conditions will be disclosed prior to adoption.

The first priority is to get the pugs into the program and into a foster home as quickly as possible. The ultimate goal is to place the pug in a safe, loving forever home.
