Axle was thrown out of a car into a busy street. When school teacher Julie Barry saw the poor kitten bouncing on the road, she immediately pulled over to help and the kitty scampered under her car. They looked everywhere but could not find it so the drove the car a few blocks to a repair shop to see if they could find him and they eventually did. He was hiding up in the axle area (hence the name). Axle is a fighter and definitely goes wild for wildlife... when he is awake ;-)
