We adopted our beagle Barkley in January 2009 when he was just 3 months old and only 9 pounds. He has since grown into a very happy mature beagle adult who weighs 40 pounds!! What can we say he loves to eat! He will turn 12 in October and is living his best life!!! COVID was the best thing that ever happened to Barkley since we got to stay home all the time and Barkley went on more walks than he could ever have imagined. But it hasn’t always been a bed of roses for Barkley. He had back surgery when he was 7 for herniated discs and made a full recovery. Also this past April he had a mysterious bacterial infection, spent 6 days at Penn Vet hospital with excellent care and recovered, thank God! In his free time Barkley loves to eat, sleep, run around the house like an agility dog, eat dried worms on the sidewalk, give love and get love, sleeps in our bed at night and loves to go to the park. He truly is our heart and we are forever grateful for his presence in our life❤️
