Animal Bio
We adopted Pete from the Charlottesville SPCA in 2011 and quickly realized he’d been very badly mistreated. The only background we had was that he’d been chained and left outside. He was terrified of young boys and almost every human but adored other dogs. It’s taken years of patience and love but he feels completely secure now. He is one of my favorite things in the world. I’ve never had a sweeter dog. His gratitude is matched only by my own because he is the best guy ever!
