Drove from NYC to Maryland to adopt this beauty 3 years ago. It's been a long journey figuratively, too, but with patience, treats, and the help of a professional trainer, Hurricane Betty the nightmare has morphed into my dream beagle! She's always by my side, including when I conduct interviews with BREW applicants, as I now volunteer for this amazing organization. She's an Olympic-caliber napper, can lick her paw (or mine) for hours, and stares out the window at absolutely nothing. My goofy girl burrows under the covers next to me and scowls when I open the blinds in the morning. She's my best friend, and I feel blessed that she brings love and laughter into my life every day.
