Darwin, Violet and Spike are all rescued beagles. We sadly had to say goodbye to Darwin a few years ago when he was about 14 years old. Spike is now 17 years old and Violet is now 10 years old. They love to lay around in the sun and nap...and eat, of course!

Darwin was our first beagle. Everyone said, "you cannot have a beagle in a small apartment in the city!" But, he was a great dog who adapted to living in the city, in the country, and anywhere in between. He was found as stray and quickly became a member of our family as if he always belonged there. This was the last photo we took of him. We still think about him and miss him.

Spike was adopted hours before he was scheduled to be put down. The SPCA called us and thankfully we were able to get him before the fateful hour. He is a sweet, timid little boy who just wants to be loved.

Violet was adopted after spending over a year at the shelter. She is a bossy, full of energy, crazy dog. Although there have been some minor disagreements of the years, she loves her brother...and loves to boss him around!
