My Story
Lucy was adopted after she was brought to Brood due to animal neglect. She was taken from a home where she had been tied up and left outside her whole life. Before us, she had been adopted and returned by others. She was 7 when we got her, and because she wasn’t responsive to the name “Charlie Girl,” we changed it to Lucy. She has blossomed over time and has learned to make friends. She is living large in her adoptive home and can be quite bossy at times, letting us know when she wants a treat or to go on a walk. Her veterinarian said she is the healthiest Bassett she has ever seen due to her trim physique. This is likely due to her demand of 5 walks a day during which she burns off all the treats she insists upon. Stubborn and bossy, we love our Lucy.
