Rules

Submitting a photo to be included in San Diego House Rabbit Society's Bunnyfest 2019 Photo Contest is free. You may submit as many photographs as you like, in as many of the four categories as you like.

To submit photos online, click on the Participate tab above and follow the directions to upload a photograph of your pet. Online entries must be received by September 26, 2019 at 11:59:59 PM PDT.

All photos become the property of San Diego House Rabbit Society.

• Acceptable photo formats are .jpg, .bmp, .png, and .tif
• Photos may contain one or more rabbits
• Photos must:
  • be in color or black and white
  • depict a specific category as defined below
  • be stills, not live pictures or video clips

Photographs of people or content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene; for example, rabbits fully or partially clothed (hats, scarves and harnesses are okay), in water or depicted in a stressful situation as determined by the staff of San Diego House Rabbit Society will be removed immediately without warning.

Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments).

Photographs must either feature rabbits owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the rabbit's owner to submit their rabbit's image.


You may submit photos for the following four categories:

1. Bunny Face
   Do you ever look at your bunny and think she has the sweetest little face? Now is your chance to show the rest of the world your bunny's adorable face!
   
   
2. Spoiled Bunz
   Does your bunny love taking naps on the doll bed you bought for her? Is your bunny's play area filled with toys bought (or made) especially for him? Show us pictures of your spoiled bunnies!
   
   
3. Bunny Loaf
   Something magical happens when a sleepy bunny tucks his paws underneath and settles into a roundish ball of fluff – he morphs into a bunny loaf! Show us your loaves of buns!
   
   
4. Favorite Photo
   We all have that special photo of our bunny that we absolutely love. It might be the way the light shines on her fur, or the silly way he fell asleep in his litter box. Please share your favorite photos with us!

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery on the San Diego House Rabbit Society Bunnyfest 2019 website, and the photo will be open to voting by the general public. Votes are $1 each, with no minimum.

All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.

To vote online, from the menu, click on PARTICPATE– VIEW ENTRIES/VOTE. The online voting period will end September 26 2019 at 11:59:59 PM PDT.

Voting online will end as shown prominently on the Bunnyfest 2019 Photo Contest website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser. However, additional voting of the top ten entries from each category will continue at Bunnyfest on September 29, 2019 starting at 10 a.m., with the winners announced at Bunnyfest at a time to be determined in the late afternoon.

The photograph with the most votes in a given category at the time announced during Bunnyfest 2019 will win the prize as detailed in the Prizes section. The final vote tally will be combined votes from online, as indicated at the end of the online voting fundraiser, plus any additional votes received during Bunnyfest 2019 .

All votes are donations to San Diego House Rabbit Society and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. All donors upon request will receive receipts for their contributions.


In the event of a tie, the name of each person with the highest votes will be placed in a "tie-breaker" box and a single name will be randomly selected. This random section of the top winner will take place at Bunnyfest on September 29, 2019.

You are not required to attend Bunnyfest 2019 to win. Winner's names will be announced at Bunnyfest 2019, and you must show a photo ID in order to receive your prize. Winners not present will be notified via e-mail or regular mail and can pick up prizes at San Diego House Rabbit Society, 4807 Mercury Street, Ste. A, San Diego, CA 92111 during regular business hours. Alternatively, prizes can be mailed to the winner upon request. Note: prizes can only be mailed to addresses in the United States.

Prizes must be claimed by December 1, 2019. Unclaimed prizes will be repurposed by San Diego House Rabbit Society for future events.


1^st Place - $25 gift card for Amazon
There will be a total of four 1^st Place prizes given, one for each category.


Grand Prize – $25 gift card for Amazon, plus a Cottontail Cottage.
The Grand Prize winner will receive a 1^st Place prize in a given category, plus an additional $25 gift card for Amazon and a Cottontail Cottage.  The Grand Prize winner has the highest votes on a single photo submitted, regardless of the category.  For details and images of a Cottontail Cottage, visit catsandrabbitsandmore.com.
