Your Pet's Story or Bio
We got Basil from CAHS in June 2023 when he was 11 y/o. We had seen him on the website and knew immediately we had to go get him. He wouldn't leave our bed for the first 2 weeks after bringing him home. He took a few months to get comfortable with the house, but eventually became my husband's shadow. With him being older, we were determined to show him ALL the love. We took him on multiple trips to different places across the country, took him swimming, hiking, and even made my husbands desk bigger so he could have his own cave. He passed away on May 14, 2025 and we miss him so much. We were his forever home. I just wish we had found him sooner.
