Your Rescue Story
I adopted Bones (formerly Logan) from CA Humane last September. I had just lost my cat of 13 years and wasn't really planning on adopting a new cat quite yet but then I saw a post about Bones saying he had been at CA Humane for about a year. If you look closer at the photo you'll notice he is missing his tail, the reason for it missing is unknown but because of this he was often overlooked at the shelter.
My heart went out to him as I didn't understand who couldn't love that little guy so I decided to go see him and I immediately fell in love with him. He was very affectionate during the visit and even jumped up onto my shoulders purring the whole time.
After the visit I arranged an adoption appointment and was able to take Bones home. Since being home Bones has done amazing, he is full of energy and quite literally jumps off the walls. He's always so funny and brings a smile to my face every single day.
After losing my previous cat I didn't know how having a cat after him would be but Bones has helped heal that wound and we are loving every day together. Having been with Bones I'm amazed how he could've ever been overlooked because of something like a tail but I guess that just goes to show you should never judge a book by its cover. I'm so glad to have found Bones and he has been very happy ever since.
