Your Pet's Story
Nala is a border collie who came to us as a rescue at 4 months old. She was accidentally run over by her previous owners and suffered a broken leg. They had planned to put her down rather than paying for her surgery. My mother is a veterinarian and was heartbroken when she heard of Nala's situation. She funded her surgery and my family nursed her back to health. Nala has been an important and very loved member of our family ever since. She enjoys car rides, walks at three mile bend, hikes, camping trips, and stays busy herding our horses and chickens. She will be turning 7 this December. This is a photo of her hiking Windy Point Ridge along Abraham Lake this summer.
