Enter your favorite photo of your rescued family member for just $10 for a chance to win one of 12 coveted spots in the 2024 Calendar Photo Contest. This contest is open to all residents of Alberta. Winners must be available for photo shoots with Chic & Grace Wednesday June 28, 2023 in Red Deer, AB.
Help the animals of CA Humane by sharing your entry and encouraging others to vote! All funds raised will directly support the medical care of animals awaiting adoption in shelter. TOP 8 will automatically receive a spot in the calendar, the next 4 will be selected by panel of judges based on photo & story. Please no professional or altered photos.
Entry
Submit a photo of your pet(s) and include:
- Name of your Pet/s
- Pets Age/s
- Your Name
- Your Email
- Your City and Province
- A paragraph that tells voters "Who Rescued Who?" Make it interesting, fun and heartfelt to encourage those votes!
Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution — 300 dpi or higher in PNG or JPG format — and no greater than 5MB. Sorry, we cannot accept hard copies & altered or professional photos. All submitted photos may be shared out on CA Humane social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter & Instagram! All entries must be the original work of the entrant. You must own the copyright to the photograph. All photo entries must be of small companion animals such as dogs, cats and pocket pets. The animals must be alive, in your care and available to meet the eligibility requirements of the photographer. CA Humane retains the right to remove any inappropriate entries.
Contest & Voting Fees
Entry fee ~ each photo entry is $10. Your pet must be rescued! You may submit multiple entries, but remember that this will not increase your chance of winning, and votes will simply be spread out amongst your entries. The Submissions & Voting Period starts April 1, 2023 and ends at May 31, 2023. ** All pets entered in the contest will be in the calendar collage pages in the back of the "Who Rescued Who?" 2024 Calendar!
Voting fee ~ $2 donation counts as one (1) vote. We encourage you to e-mail the contest link and spread the word through social media to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your photo. Votes may be cast during the Voting Period only. All donations for votes are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the contest. Contest payments made online are through a secure site.
Reserve a Day to Honour Your Pet!
For just $10 you can reserve a specific special date to feature your pet. Your birthday, their birthday, any special date that you would like to see on the "Who Rescued Who?" calendar!
Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice.
Just choose your favourite photo of your pet and then choose the day and pay!
First come first served!
Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
Each day is $10.
Prizes & Winners
The top 8 pets with the highest votes and 4 additional judged entries will be featured in the "Who Rescued Who?" 2024 CA Humane Calendar. Winners must be available for photo shoots with Chic & Grace Studios Wednesday June 28, 2023 in Red Deer, AB. The Calendar will be available for sale in fall of 2023, in time for Holiday gift giving!
CA Humane will attempt to notify the top finalists via telephone or email as soon as possible after the contest closes. If the potential winners cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the organizer may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place from the next non-winning, eligible top vote-getter.
Miscellaneous
CA Humane reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice. CA Humane reserves the right to use any photos submitted for marketing purposes. CA Humane reserves the right to edit posts and stories.
Tax receipts for donations over $30 will be available upon request!
