🐾 Pets 'n' Poses 2026 Calendar Contest

Tell us your pet’s story! We want to feature pets in our Pets 'n' Poses 2026 CA Humane Calendar.

✨ How It Works

• Enter your favorite photo of your pet for just $20.

• Your entry includes 20 votes and 1 free 2026 Calendar.

• The contest is open to all residents of Alberta.

• All pets are welcome – dogs, cats, pocket pets etc., past or present companions.

• The top 8 pets with the highest votes, plus 4 additional judged entries, will be featured in the calendar.

• The cover will be a collage of photo entries.

Help the animals of CA Humane by sharing your entry and encouraging friends and family to vote. 💙 All funds raised directly support the medical care of animals awaiting adoption in our shelter.

📸 Entry Requirements

When submitting your photo, please include:

• Pet’s Name

• Pet’s Age

• Your Name

• Your Email

• Your City & Province

• A short paragraph telling voters about your amazing pet and their best pose — fun, heartfelt, and inspiring stories encourage more votes!

Photo Guidelines:

• Must be clear, high-resolution (300 dpi or higher), JPG or PNG format, and no larger than 5MB

• No professional, altered, or hard-copy photos

• Must be your own original work (you must own the copyright)

• Pets only — no people in the photo

• Photos may be shared on CA Humane’s social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X)

• CA Humane retains the right to remove inappropriate entries

💰 Contest & Voting Fees

• Entry Fee: $20 per photo entry (includes 20 votes + 1 free calendar)

• Voting Fee: $5 donation = 5 votes

• You may submit multiple entries

• Voting period runs from August 22nd to October 10th ~ 2025

• Donations for votes are non-refundable

• All entries and votes must be made through the online contest page

• Donations submitted by mail, in-person, or through CA Humane’s main donation page will be accepted as donations, but will not count toward the contest

📅 Reserve a Day to Honour Your Pet!

Want your pet’s photo featured on a special day?

• Reserve a date for just $20 (birthday, adoption day, or any meaningful date) 

• Your pet’s photo will appear on that day in the calendar

• First come, first served — once a date is reserved, it’s gone!

• Deadline: October 10, 2025 at 4:59 pm

• New this year ~ 1 calendar per special date reserved

🏆 Prizes & Winners

• The top 8 voted entries + 4 judged entries = 12 calendar stars

• 1st Place: Month of choice in the calendar + $75 CA Humane Gift Certificate + bragging rights!

• 2nd Place: Month of choice in the calendar + $50 CA Humane Gift Certificate

• 3rd Place: Month of choice in the calendar + $25 CA Humane Gift Certificate

• All 12 winners receive a 1-year CA Humane membership (perks & discounts)

📅 The Pets 'n' Poses 2026 Calendar will be available for sale in November 2025, just in time for holiday gift-giving!

📞 Winner Notification

• CA Humane will contact top finalists by phone or email as soon as possible after the contest closes

• If a potential winner cannot be reached within five (5) days, an alternate winner may be selected from the next eligible top vote-getter

ℹ️ Miscellaneous

• CA Humane may modify or clarify contest rules at any time without advance notice

• CA Humane reserves the right to use any submitted photos and stories for marketing purposes

• Tax receipts for voting donations of $30 or more are available upon request
