Mr. Magnolia was a feral kitty born in our backyard in April of 2002, so we decided 'her' birthday was April Fool's Day. We named 'her' Magnolia, because 'she' liked to climb the magnolia tree next door. It was difficult to distinguish her tiny kittyness from the fat magnolias on the neighbor's tree. She remained a she until her first trip to the vet. The vet informed us that Magnolia was MR. Magnolia, so the name stuck. He was beautiful, but he wasn't just another pretty face! He should have been named Mr. Personality, because he was bursting with it. His antics kept us entertained for many, many years.
