Dog's Story or Bio
My name is Barney! I was found on the streets when I was young but, had been around the block a few times, if you know what I mean. I was the complete package; handsome and smart. As a special bonus, I came complete with heartworms. Mom and dad took me home, paid big bucks for complete vetting (no more lady friends for me; their choice, not mine) and showed me what being a member of a family really means. I was given good food, toys to chase and nibble and soft places to sleep. In return I was known as the incredible Dr. Barney. If anyone sneezed, I was on it. A fast few licks on the face of the patient and my cure took immediate effect. I quickly adjusted to a fur sibling and 7 (yes, 7) cats. My DNA test said I was a super-mutt with 30% chihuahua and 10% blue heeler along with a collection of other breeds. I might be 17 pounds but definitely know how to strut my stuff watching through the gate to guard the driveway from walkers with dogs. Also, I can walk, actually bounce, backwards to keep an eye on my food bowl while it's being placed in exactly the right spot. No food gets by me! The luckiest day of my life was being found so I could grow up and grow old with my forever family.
