Buzz (aptly named after the Toy Story Character Buzz Lightyear) the black Cavoodle, was bought for a cheeky wee blonde haired, big blue-eyed boy who's dad ventured into a relationship with a woman with a ever-so-sweet daughter the same age as the boy, who happened to own a white "Princess" cat named Sophie.

As a lone fur-baby-puppy, moving in with a white mature and bossy house-proud she-cat, he was so excited to have some company when his now extended human family, who so loved the ever-so-mushy and cute puppy, ventured off to school and work. However Princess Sophie had other plans for Buzzy-the-playful-little-puppy...

Home security cameras captured them playing for sure, except not as one would assume. Instead, it was a game of cat and mouse... Buzzy being the MOUSE!!!

"Princess" Sophie would hide behind a door frame ever so patiently, waiting for playful little puppy Buzzy to come bounding around the corner, slipping on the floorboards, at a rate of knots. BAM SLAM SQUEAL... guess who would hold out her paw, claws out ready, as Buzzy ran straight into her talons... to then squeal and scratch running down the hall, tail between his legs!

Or he'd walk past the couch, and (newly titled “She-Devil") Princess Sophie would be hiding under it, and suddenly her paw would come out from beneath and swipe his poor little legs out from under him.

Then as Buzzy's blended family settled down into weeks, then months and finally years, Little Buzzy became Big Buzzy, and Princess Sophie and he became the closest best friends ever. If Sophie changed rooms, Buzz would change rooms. If Buzz sat on the couch, Sophie would sit on the couch (...top of the backrest of course!).

The bond was so sweet and amusingly playful and with undoubtedly a life-long love for each other...

Then Princess Sophie got sick. Very sick.

Fast.

24 hours later... she was given her wings.

Just like that.

Sweet Buzzy was sad... So so sad, that depression kicked in. He just moped. He would only lay in her familiar spots (including the top of the couch backrest) with such sad eyes...

So (human) Mum stepped in, and she started to take him everywhere with her, so he was never at home alone. When I say everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE! At first it was "Want to go in the car Buzz?" to now all she has to do is walk down the hall with a certain sound in her step, and he's ready and waiting at the door to go jump in the car.

Buzzy's life today is a very very busy one. His schedule at times is crazy!

He goes grocery shopping, does the school run morning and afternoon (waiting patiently for his humans to walk out of the school yard, as he wins the hearts of other students smiling at them through the open car window), he goes with her to physio, he's lost count of the number of meetings he's chaired in the boardroom, and he even wears his very own company orange bow-tie when he goes to the office (NB: orange being one of the brand colours of course).

Buzz luvvvvvvssssss the beach. As soon as his humans pull up at their house he knows he's at his happy place and can't get out of the car fast enough. It's where he now races down the path on the cliff face, to get to his favourite rocks, where those quick-stepping crabs are hiding. Not having been traditionally a water fur-baby, this dramatic change has been triggered by his instincts to be a DOG! ...But there is no doubt you'll melt when you witness his sparkling black eyes and his humongous smile when he's crabbing in his happy place... as they run away from all his attempts.

He'll forever be that ever-so-cute little puppy of years gone by, and hasn't a vicious bone his body. Human Mum often says he's the "Any-Family-Pooch"... because he'd go off with ANY family that looked sideways at him. He loves receiving love, but he gives soooo much more love back.

The kids now say, "We come second best to Buzz... Mum loves him more".

She simply responds with, "Absolutely! He gives unconditional love, is excited to see me EVERY SINGLE time... and doesn't talk back!"
