Your Pet's Story or Bio
Hello all my name is Rex. I am an 8-month-old cream golden retriever from Canberra. I’m a big boy who loves cuddles, belly rubs and chicken. There are many things I absolutely enjoy doing, that includes swimming, playing fetch, rolling on the grass and going for play dates with friends.
I am very friendly and incredibly affectionate! Every day after my dad comes home, I place my head on his lap for some cuddles and when we go on walks, I never fail to say hi and receive pets from all the lovely humans who walk by us.
My energy levels are high, my dad takes me out for walks twice in a day and sometimes those walks end up at parks with other canine friends around. I love playing chase and tug with them. We compete with each other to catch the ball. I sometimes overestimate my energy level rolling around in mud puddles and end up being too swamped for a shower when I get home.
I am really smart, I learned all the commands my dad thought me really quick, thus far I know “sit”, “wait”, “paw”, “high-5”, “come” and “let’s go”. I am currently attending nose school to train my sniffers to figure out where dad keeps all the yummy treats at home.
Although I am highly affectionate and friendly, I am also independent and love my own space. I keep guard of our home when dad goes to work and after a long walk or play in the park, I love to sit on my blankie and chew on a bone or play with my toy while dad watches tv or speaks to mum through the window on his phone.

About Mum and Dad <3
Both Dad and mum had put their name for me a couple of years back with a breeder and after some delay due to a virus they finally got me. Mum fell in love with me immediately when she saw a picture of me from the breeder and picked me from among my siblings. I first met dad when I was 2 months old, he came to pick me up. He is the best dad in the world. He teaches me new things, brings me for walks, takes me out to for play time with my friends and gives me lots of treats. I see mum through a small window every day when dad calls her. She always tells me that I am her handsome boy and tells me how much she loves me and gives me kisses.
