Comet was one of a large number of dogs dumped at the Kern County Shelter by a "breeder" who was hoarding. Comet spent the first 9 months of his life in a cage, untouched, unsocialized. He was brought to the no-kill Marin Humane Society on a transport from Kern County, and adopted from there. He was so sacred and so shut down that he could not be out in the public adoption area. But his new mom found him anyhow, and just look at him now! He can read!
