Your Pet's Quirks
He grabs up a toy and prances around the house every time we come home. He wants food put in his bowl when your feet hit the floor in the morning even if he doesn't want to eat it. If you feed him and leave he won't eat it until we get back. Max won't eat food out of the dog food bin or bag even if it is open, it has to be in a bowl! He also knows he isn't supposed to be on the furniture, so he waits until everyone is gone and then he enjoys himself. It is so funny to sneak up on him and catch him there, the look we get is so adorable. He does not get punished we started putting covers on a long time ago!

Your Pet's Story or Bio
My step son got Max from the Meridian Walmart parking lot. The people were giving away 16 puppies due to their two labs breeding. Max was the runt of the litter he could fit into a baseball cap. My son decided he did not want to take care of a puppy and so I ended up taking Max. As Max grew he started doing all the things a puppy does. I was in the process of house training him, but he had a weak bladder. He could stand at the water bowl and start peeing as soon as he started drinking. I had to go to a Dr.'s appt.and while I was gone Max chewed on two pair of very expensive boots belonging to my husband and at that time my hubby wanted him out. That night I went out to my van and took blankets and water and heated it up and put Max in there. I checked on him every two hours and made sure the van was heated. My husband saw that I was not going to get rid of Max and let him back in the house. I did however have to take Max with me every time I left the house after. My husband finally accepted Max as a part of the family! Max matured to the point he didn't chew up anything anymore that is after a king size mattress, a recliner and the complete arm of a sofa . Through all my marriage problems and life, Max has always been at my side. He rides in the buggy behind my mower, golf cart, tractor. I taught him to swim. Max won't chase a cat or ducks unless I tell him he can. I don't tell him he can, but he really wants those ducks. He stands for a bath, no leash or he'll get in the tub when I tell him to.I use to say bath and then I started spelling it. He knows how to spell bath. He is my guardian, best friend and he is now 15 years old. He would give his life for me! I cry if I think about life without him. I love him!
