Pet's Story or Bio
Blue and Hopper were adopted at different times, but they are definitely best friends as well as family. Blue--named after the Kenny Chesney song, "Old Blue Chair"-- came to the SPCA through Miami via St. Johns as a tiny Hurricane Maria/Irma puppy who lost her mama. St. Johns is a really important place for our family, so we knew immediately she was meant to be our dog! Blue's favorite activities include burrowing into pillows and getting carried around (at 40 pounds) like a baby. Hopper was found at six weeks old, sick with parvo, on the side of the road in rural Virginia in 2020. The SPCA and his amazing foster mom got him healthy, and all he wanted to do afterwards was hop, hence his name! He still loves to hop around and will never turn down a cuddle session in his humans' bed (which is really his bed, let's be honest). They live in Nashville now, but we are positive they both know they found their forever families thanks to their time in Charlottesville. We are a committed "rescue dog" family, and we love watching these two happy, sweet puppers play, snuggle, and grow up together. We cannot thank the CASPCA enough for forever giving us the gift of changing their lives and ours! (Hopper on left, Blue on right)
